Doing my usual coffee in town this afternoon and sketching some new designs. Sitting people watching is a great way to develop new characters it reminds me of L.S Lowry, his work was all about people watching.
I believe I am a social creature, friendly and certainly interested in other people but I know like Lowry I'm not sociable, not a joiner in I much prefer to observe which can sometimes be a lonely occupation. Still it has it's benefits, it informs my work and allows me to study in depth and add expression to my little characters which I hope capture the essence of their individuality.
