A new year brings new works

I have been busy designing and making some new work for a new year, starting with the textile piece entitled The Elizabethan girl which is hand stitched onto linen and felt.  I have now moved on to a character from Les Miserable Eponine. Her sad and lonely story has always interested me and over the years I have done several pieces on her but I am really enjoying making this particular  piece as I think it expresses her hopelessness. It will take a while to complete but here is where I'm at so far.
